Pre-Purchase Inspections

We offer both in shop and on site pre-purchase inspections for all of western Manitoba. Our onsite inspections are a hassle free way to give you peace of mind on private sales of vehicles, equipment and powersports.

F.A.Q.

The vehicle I'm looking at is saftied, why would I need a pre-purchase inspection?

Many reasons.

1. A safety is valid for 1 year. Alot of wear and tear can take place during that year meaning many components can be worn out or broken since it was performed

2. A safety says the vehicle is safe to drive, and can be licensed. It doesn't mean the vehicle or many of its vital running components are in good condition.

3. While this is becoming less common there are still some shops out there doing favors for friends/family by putting a safety on vehicles that have no business passing one.

Can you do inspections in evenings and weekends?

Of course, we understand the majority of people are checking used machines during these times and will do our best to accommodate that. It is best to include us in the process when you're setting up the time to go look at the machine so we can find a time that works for all parties involved.

Will you come with me to see the vehicle/machine?

Yes, with our onsite pre-purchase inspections we will meet you where ever the used machine is that you're looking at. We cover all of western manitoba.

What is included in the inspections?

All of our Pre-purchase inspections include a thorough investigation of the machine, top to bottom, inside and out. As well as market research to determine if they're asking fair market value. We treat every inspection as if we were buying this machine for our favorite child.

Can you go look at the machine for me?

Yes, while we prefer you to be there as well so we can show you what we are seeing we can go in your place and provide you with a written report as well as some pictures of the machine and anything notable we find.

I'm going to look at multiple machines, Do I need to pay the fee for all of them?

We do have a special. If you're looking at 3 or more machines during the same day in relatively the same area you can have us for the day (8 hours) for $500. You can squeeze in as many inspections as possible during that time frame.

Car and Truck Pre-Purchase inspections

Our pre-purchase inspections include a thorough inspection of the entire car as well as market research to ensure the vehicle in question suits your specific needs both functionally and economically.

Equipment Pre-Purchase Inspections

While the majority of people purchasing heavy equipment likely have a good idea of what to look for to ensure quality we strive to go that extra mile. Whether you need a 2nd set of ears to listen for knocks and grinds, a nimble body to check high, low, and tight spaces, or are looking for expertise on a new machine you aren't familiar with we are happy to help. Working in this industry we are fortunate to have become familiar with all kinds of equipment including heavy trucks, construction, ag, and more.

Power Sports

Power Sports inspections are a fun one and while often times the purchase price is less than that of equipment and cars it is an area where we typically see and hear of people getting burned the most. Small engines are finnicky, get them tuned just right or running nice and hot and they'll run great...for a couple days, or until they cool down. Unfortunately unless you really know what to look for someone well versed in small engines or the machine in question can find a way to get it running good enough for long enough to make you think its a great buy. We see it all the time and is a big reason we wanted to start doing these pre-purchase inspections in the first place.
